Mah-Jong

Mah-Jong, also known as Mahjong, is a tile-based game that originated in China. It is commonly played by four players (though variations exist for three players) and involves skill, strategy, and a degree of luck. The game is played with a set of 136 or 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, divided into suits that include characters, bamboo, and circles, along with honor tiles (winds and dragons) and flower tiles in some sets.

The objective of Mah-Jong is to build a winning hand by drawing and discarding tiles to create specific combinations, similar to sets and runs in card games. Players can form melds (sets of tiles) and achieve a Mah-Jong (a complete valid hand) to win. The game has multiple regional variations, each with its own rules and scoring systems.

Mah-Jong has gained international popularity and has been adapted into various digital formats, making it accessible to a wider audience beyond its traditional roots. It emphasizes strategic thinking, memory, and social interaction among players.
